Background(Irrelevant)
My old desktop which I built myself died after about 3 years. It was inexpensive and ran most games at about 50-60 fps which was fine for me. The capacitors on the graphics card exploded so I replaced the graphics card and the same thing started to happen so I took out the graphics card and I'm junking the old computer.

My laptop is a dell Inspiron 6400 with XP sp 3 and it cannot play counterstrike even at the lowest settings without fps below 30(I hit 5 within sight of a smoke nade) This is the reason I am now making a new computer.

Questions/Concerns:
I am looking to either build a new computer or buy a premade gaming computer which can do/has the following:
- - - - -
Play CS:S on with mid/high graphic settings and 1024x768 resolution with fraps playing and no lag.

I would also like it to have the ability to play sc2/diablo3 but those are not as graphically demanding as css or sc2 isnt and diablo 3 i doubt will be.

Windows 7

I have mouse/keyboard/monitor/headphones/speakers

Under $600
- - - - -
My current project is my car restoration(bought a junker 94 bmw 325i and I'm fixing it) so I do not want to have any stress building or messing with my computer which is why a pre build computer may be what I'm looking. On the other hand I can get a better computer for less and build it myself.

Is the entry level computer (In PC gamer) worth building? Its in my budget and they are pretty smart ppls.

TL;DR COMPUTER FOR UNDER $600 THAT PLAYS CSS WITH FRAPS ON AT 1024x768 - NO LAG AND PREFERABLY PRE BUILT

You serious, brah? 1024x768? -.-

Yeah, you could do it for $600. Build yourself, that is.

Was about to post:

1a. $500-600
b. 01950 (6.25% tax)
2. Gaming (CS:S with fraps recording)
3. No
4. Nothing but the tower/contents within
5. Until it breaks
6. It doesn't overheat/black/minimal maintenance

In your thread - If you don't mind helping me build a $500-600 PC it would be great to have some parts recommended. I find it somewhat difficult to figure out the balance between processors/ram and such. I'm looking for about 250gb hd since I just bought a 320gb external I don't need much but I can make adjustments to whatever you throw at me. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Edit: 250gb ram? and such mistypes

Can you post it in there? It makes it easier for me. Plus, I need to break up my posts. Sheesh. :p
