Step 3:

Now, go to to the ''Connection'' tab, and do as i did, in the picture!

NOTE: I used '100' as an example but you're free to choose any port to use!

Step 4:

Now, let's check if your selected ports are really changed! Go to, http://www.canyouseeme.org/

If you get an error message, then it's still not port forwarded! Pm me for over Teamviewer help! ;)

Your tutorial is nicely written and well explained, but I think this way of forwarding ports is bad. opening ports regularly is very simple as is.

yeah, but I only posted it for people who are having trouble accessing the ''router gateway'' or are confused, ect..

and this way is a lot easier!

I've never used this method for port forwarding, but this is an easy alternative for people who can't forward ports through their router manually. Good work, very easy to follow.

let me ask what the point of this is... this isn't really opening the port... this is simply checking for open ports... there's software out there that does this for you... if you are truly having trouble accessing ports controls in your router, or are unsure how to visit portforward.com before oyu try this method

downloading utorrent and setting the listening port doesn't actually do anything to your router or gateway...

software like this will have no effect on a device like a router.

If you want to see if a port is open yes go to the website listed, and check the port. If it is not open and needs to be then go to portforward.com and find your router and simply follow the instructions on how to forward. Or hit me up on steam.

I'm only using this method, because my school disallows going to the router gateway but utorrent works. And btw, what are you talking about? Canyouseeme.org saw my port as open.

What? This doesn't have anything with port forwarding. This is just specifying which port uTorrent should use to listen for incoming and outgoing connections.

Please don't bump old threads. Thread locked.
