Valve is going to release a DLC for L4D players called "Sacrifice"
Well, that was announced since The Passing came out..

and L4D2 players, guess what!!!
Valve is bringing the "No Mercy" Campainge over to L4D2, and L4D2 players get to use original L4D survivors in that Campainge, Valve also stated that the new"Sacrifice" DLC will also be released for L4D2 players, and we get to use original survivors in that campainge as well, finally... i can see francis with AK

That sounds awesome. Just curious but do you have a link or anything? I'd love to read more about this. :)

Now I can play the actual No Mercy campaign instead of a ported, non-official one that may not have a lot of bugs!!

You beat me to it! D= Anyways it sounds great, I'm just confused as to what game that "Sacrifice" will be on...it would be awesome if it was both, but it's looking like its L4D2 (to me) right now.

EDIT: Watching Plasma's video, both! YAYZORZ!!!

And a possible new Survivor? Sometimes I just gotta love Chet Faliszek.

oh hell yeah, I can't wait for the DLC. I mean I love the weapons in L4D2, but they were missing my favorite characters and maps from L4D. I can't wait when spring break comes around.

Wasn't the point of the DLC to keep the first game alive? By releasing it for both games they just made the first one even more obsolete. I have both games anyway, but it is kind of silly.

From a pure-profit standpoint, yes it is silly. However, when you consider customer loyalty and creativity, then no. It makes perfect sense. Valve has garnered a very high reputation as listening to its customers. It has released several different DLCs for both L4D and L4D2, as well as allowing mods and customizations by its gamers, unlike another company when it released a highly-touted game that actually cut mods and charged for its DLC. In fact, L4D and L4D2 players have a HUGE variety of gametypes, campaigns, and maps to play on when you factor in the gaming communities' contributions. Personally, I've played over a baker's dozen of custom campaigns, and you'd be surprised how well thought out and designed they are if you never tried to play custom campaigns before.
