I've always disliked our servers because of the increased playercount. On a full server nearly every map is a stalemate for an hour+, this is because every TF2 map was designed with a 24 player cap in mind. So on these grounds I vote for a motion to change the way our servers are managed.

All of the servers are 32 slot, 32-24= 8, 8x6= 48, 48/2= 24. If the slot-server price exchange rate is good we could have 8 24 slot servers instead of 6 32 slot stalematefest servers. This would allow us to bring back PL maps, keep 2fort regular, plus a fun/events server.

Servers do not work that way. Running 8 maps does not use the same amount of resources as running 6 maps.

And the reason we have 32 slots is because it is, by far, the most popular way to run the maps. More people come to the 32-player instaspawn 2Fort than any of our other servers.

And this is more of a drop-box issue.

This. I agree - I'd post this in the Drop Box.

pretty sure he meant servers, not drop box... I think.

We maintain our own servers; we don't rent them. For an organization as big as this, renting them would be a bit of a hassle, I do believe.

Threads such as these are much better meant for the drop box, as stated above.

Also as stated above, servers don't work that way.

ALSO in the future, starting a thread with 'I dislike our servers because' isn't too helpful.
