I am dual booting Fedora/Windows 7 on my netbook. I just installed a 1 gigabyte stick of RAM today for a total of 2 gigabytes. Since I've done that, Fedora won't boot (windows 7 will still boot). Well, I can still get to command line, but I'm not really sure how to use that (I guess it's different than the terminal? I have no idea, I thought I was in the BASH shell but I really don't know).

Does anyone know a fix for this, or am I better off just reformatting my Fedora partition?

Thanks

Most people use gnome by default i find. Although i do enjoy xfce

Gnome is the default installed with Fedora.

KDE use to rock. It was without a doubt the King of all the graphical desktops.

But....then along came KDE 4 (about 2 years ago). They did an entire rewrite of it. And it sucks!!

But..i still use it (4.5 is pretty stable). The tools/apps for KDE are just better than the GNOME ones (in my opinion).

To each his own though (that's the beauty of open source).

I think I was using Gnome, but I'm not sure since I formatted my linux partition and can't really go and check now :p

I ran a memory test and I didn't get any errors, so I'm not sure what was going on...
