So that is what my computer says when I try to open steam or CounterStrike from anywhere on my computer.

any ideas? I don't know if I can live without CS!!

Was thinking of reinstalling STEAM all together. But can I get my games back even though I bought them with a disk? As in, not thru steam. I don't have the cd's anymore!

Did you perhaps delete Steam?

So you navigated to your steam directory? "c:\program files\steam\steam.exe" is the default path. It may also be in "c:\program files(x86)\steam\steam.exe"

If you dont see it in there its likely you either deleted it or accidentally dragged it to another directory. if you do see it, try renaming your file "Clientregistry.blob" to "Clientregistry.old" and then doubleclick Steam.exe to make it rebuild that file.

don't know what I did. I know I was cleaning some old programs off the computer. Guess like I messed with it. I did a system restore and it fixed it. it's updating steam now.

System Restore is FTW even though I don't use it....
