Simple question

Would you like to see the npg (noob propelled grenade) removed from the dust 2 server because it's stupid and it sucks for such a small map?

And before you say no because that wouldn't be Ins, please just think of this first; dust 2 isn't a Ins map it's a CSS map. Vote on and leave a comment please, this is not anything official just wanted to know others opinion on the subject. :cursing:

no because then the ins side would have nothing explosive bet the Marines have the 203 still so it'd have to be removed too and I <3 my M203

i think the rpg should be less acurate, take longer to reload, and have something making it not able to fire too close to it's firer, so you won't have suicide rpg's or people using rpg's indoors. My point is, the rpg's in insurgency are a bit unrealistic and that makes them annoying but my final decision is that Rpg's are fine with me, maybe needing inprovement but they're fine

RPG's and M203 makes INS, INS. I mean, if I wanted to play Dust without RPG's or M203's I'd buy CS:S and play it on there. Sure it sucks to be killed by a noobtube but after you respawn your grudge is over, now you know where to go kill that person or where not to be..

I seriously think Dust should not have any propelled grenades. It's more an assault rifle and shotgun map...

Well, there is one place in dust that is cheap when it comes to RPG's. Shooting a rocket from INS spawn to Alpha catwalk, that one rocket could kill 3-4 marines if they are lucky.

Luckily, I have (while extremely bored) discovered the perfect bracketing to accurately lob 203's all over the A side exit where INS team likes to sit and camp-fire rpg's. When I has my 203, they aren't camping anymore ;).

No, because we would see less of Jon Paso on dust D:

And for a serious answer, Not really because RPG and m203 make INS unique so taking one out would be a crime to the game itself.

I have to say that I'm leaning towards no RPG because Dust2 is a more of a close quarters type map and it can get to a point where the Marines can't even move to cap points with out getting blown away. In addition, it's also kind of annoying that an insurgent can fire the RPG in to the A bridge from their spawn while the Marines can't do anything about it.

They need to make the backblast hurt people and kill in confned areas when shooting it. It also is way to accurate. Those things suck in real life as far as accuracy goes. But so does the AK which is very accurate (atleast last time i played)

Guys, keep in mind the distances that you see ingame are 150m's and less. The RPG is practically pinpoint accurate at those distances; anyways, if you get camped in as marines, 99% of the time you are being camped because you don't have a competent 203 on your team. It takes me about a minute to clear out the campers with a 203 and to keep reinforcements back long enough for my battlebuddies to get out, not that hard.

the rpg is fun to have in game as is the 203
i know we all hate being killed by it when on the other team.
the map wouldn't be the same with out them
hyper sniper about the less accurate and longer reload times your out your mind...
dust2 is about rampage and blowing shit up.. hence why they upped the grenades limit
if you don't want to be killed by rpg 203 play a map that don't have them.........

Every map has them, and the 203 is MILES more annoying than an RPG when it is in the hands of a skilled user who can bracket a target. Getting killed from outer space by 203-artillery fire is far more annoying than getting blown up by an RPG that you can shoot most of the time.

agreed

i feel the RPG could stay but they do tend to fire it alot from their spawn into B Tunnels and Alpha bridge... even sniper from their sux but at least they have to aim it... also RPG's firing at point blank range and not dying.. or not even having to shoulder the weapon to fire it sucks.... the Piat and zooka in DOD u have to shoulder the weapon to be able to fire it... is there any changes along these lines we can make without the INS developers?
