Ahh, does it not just seem like yesterday when FBG Sunday raged on ? The battle for the prestigious gold medal spot on the scoreboard, the sense of achievement of clocking 20 consecutive kills. It was a good time, a system that I loved.

But times changed, and as with the change of time comes change in all things that we know and one of these changes Final Battle Ground achievements being replaced by Steam Achievements. Now the question is? Which Stats/achievement system do you like better? I would just like to outline now that this is no attempt and no suggestion of reviving FBG, but a thread that would like your opinion on which one you prefer.

Now, there are obviously more achievements in the Steam system. Yet, it always seemed that FBG awards represented more skill and thus an even higher sense of achievement. I remember when I would try show off my awards to the ?New ones? on the server by typing !awards , which led to the whole server bragging about the awards that they had themselves. There were ranks for plinks and guns, and week by week I would watch myself crawl up the standings.

In Steam, I don?t seem to feel the need to check my achievements, to see my percentage of headshots, my favourite gun, map or even KDR at times. It just feels like my FBG account was more decorated and respected, while my Steam achievements were bland and common.

Obviously, this is heavily biased towards my opinion. So let?s hear yours!
The Final Battleground achievement system or the Steam achievement system?

steam achievements are super easy
I was happier with the "get 7 deagle kills in 1 round"
rather than, get 200 deagle kills.
._.

I voted for steam more. Even though FBG was significant because you had to sign up for it and stuff like that, but for some reason, I like the way Steam has our achievements and other stuff.

FBG even though I didnt get many acheivements, it just seemed like a better system to me.

I agree. I enjoyed the small things about FBG, taglines, rep system (!down Jimmy), pinks, clan wars, etc.

I feel that FBG was far superior to what Steam has to offer. A lot of the Steam achievements are one time only cheap little achievements like shooting someone while blinded by a flashbang, or killing someone with their own dropped weapon. I think that FBG's achievements were a much more accurate representation of someones skill level.

It made me happy to get those bronze, silver, and gold weapon awards. It was also a great feeling to !up someone or be !uped by someone because it was a real time congratulation from your peers for doing well. It gave me the warm fuzzies inside. I think I honestly made the majority of my friends in this community from !uping them or being !uped by them.

The other thing that I miss are the plinks. Oh those plinks, and what I would do to earn them: knife fights in snowman, collecting bounties on players, selling myself out to the highest bidder on how to ledge jump in office.

Overall I think it was a tragedy to see FBG go bye bye. It breaks my heart to this day. I want to say thanks to FBG for making my life better.
