install question

Ok I have installed the game on my data drive. when I try to start the game it says the game is corrupt do I want to run the repair tool. The repair tool says the install is good and no problems found. I seem to be stuck in this circle. Yes the drive is formatted ntsf and I have the latest video drives.

any suggestions ?

Reinstall? If the disk doesn't work again, download the digital version.

yes I have 2 drives uninstalled and reinstalled to primary drive and same issue.

I have googled this, and it seems most people are saying go contact blizzard support. Some people ran the Repair tool multiple times.


No quick fix so far, I'll keep searching though

What are your comp specs/operating system? In the mean time get the digital version from battlenet.

Yeah, your specs are fine. The only thing I can think of is you got a bad disc, so getting the digital files off your battle.net account would work, or returning the game and getting another copy if they let you.

While I would say contact Blizzard, they are hardly responsive to e-mails. Try calling them about the issue. Even though their CS reps are surly and not terribly helpful, it could lead to something.

And have you been able to run the game once? I know this issue happened for me after a patch didn't install properly. But repair tool fixed it for me.

I have 16x DVD Drive
I have a 7200HDD with 20GB of space left (8GB more than the 12GB needed)

The installer is pretty hefty and has a good deal to do. I know I took a good while to install the game as well. But having 20 gigs left is probably the issue (less data left free on hard drive means the platter is reading from the outside, so a longer seek/write time.)

yes its like trying to eat a meal after you just ate, it just takes time, lol been wanting to use that for along time now, but anywho

if you have a 2 HDD that has alot more room, i would say use that, and that will give u a install rate at about 10-30 minutes depending on the ram you have


and Kamakazi, after you install you deleted all the files off your computer if not it will use what ever old files you might still have on there to start the install with,

also if you are running vista it sometimes has problems like above stated, but there should be another patch comming out next month but idk if that will fix that, but calling Battle.net Help line is your best solution... hope you get it working, would be fun to play a game with ya.

I have fixed it I turned down the video card to performance and bingo it works. now to figure out how to play this game.
