The cpu + motherboard are incompatible. Plus, unless you massively overclock, that cpu kinda sucks. Get the i3 530 if you want 1156 at a budget.
You have two powersupplies in there.
Hitachi harddrives are notorious for failing. Get either a Western Digital, Seagate, or Samsung harddrive.

+1, for eliminating a PSU, you may want to consider finding the same case that does not come with a PSU (if it exists). It will also save your friend some money (since cases sans a PSU are typically a little cheaper).
