Is there a way to find and change the hotkeys for all 3 races, I only ask because it may make things a bit easier for me. The only thing I can find are the basic hotkeys in the game, but nothing specific to each race.

No, you can't change the hotkeys. You'll eventually know them all by heart after you play enough games anyway. You can change it to grid which sets all the hotkeys on the left side of the keyboard in a grid, but everything is still different hotkeys. It would really screw you up anyway since you've been playing with standard.
Just stick with standard and get used to them.

To be honest, I never really used the hotkeys for standard. I just switched to grid and found it a bit more helpful for me actually. Either way, I still feel like using the arrow keys to move the map a bit faster to where I am so this is going to be a bit weird till I get used to using these hotkeys, but I think cuz of the hot keys I just won another game

.Don't use the arrow keys, turn up the mouse scroll movement in the options, I have mine around 50, it will go way faster when your mouse is at the edge of the screen. Hotkeys are vital, try not to click anything and just learn the hotkeys. Clicking to build units and buildings slows you down a ton. Just use your mouse to scroll around screen by moving it to the edges and clicking/dragging on the minimap. Make sure you also have everything control grouped so you can go directly to it.

Yeh, learning to do all that and it helps out a ton.
I don't even know how you were playing moving with the arrow keys , it's so slow compared to mouse scroll when turned up.
Glad you liked grid, I just assumed you've been learning and playing with standard, so switching would make you have to learn everything again.

smallIm sorry but i have to correct you guys, there is a way to change hotkeys either manually or with a certain program! It is called SC2Tools.exe it allows you to change the mpq files. Its easy to use.

Edit: i use wsad for map. and i have set up my hotkeys close to those keys. Example Q is warp gates easy acces, then E R T F G H are for spawning a certain soldier, or to use blink/force feild etc. its really easy to get used to that way. Just a suggestion.

Yes, but it's illegal to edit any MPQs. Try just learning the current hotkeys. Blizzard doesn't like people editing MPQs, they have banned for less.
Warden hasn't been activated, but once it does I'd be careful not to lose your account.

I had seen that post also, but was wondering if you could do it in game without the need of a program like that. Either way thanks, I will be sticking to the grid pattern. What I really wanted was the hot key for the hive as well as the drones, that way i could press that hot key and make a drone or make a drone create something a lot easier than having to click on either of them. If anyone knows if these have a hot key please let me know thanks.
Uh.. your using control groups right? Ctrl + 1-9 and 0 while you have a unit/army/building selected and then you can select all the units again by hitting that number again and center your camera on them by hitting the key twice, and then shift+that key to add something to an already established control group. Then obviously have your army hotkeyed in a control group.
When I play zerg I control group all my hatches, but for drones it's easier to just click one to go build. Then when I hit the key for a hatch, just hit s then hit d to make a drone (in standard). If your asking for a hotkey to do both at once, you can't, you have to hit the control group for the hatch, hit the larva hotkey, then the drone, once you get faster you'll build all your drones really fast if your using the hotkeys.

Yes, it's very bannable. It's in the terms of service that you won't do it, and they can do anything to you once you break the TOS.
You might not get banned, but there is still a possibility, the real hotkeys aren't hard at all to use once you get use to them, and your APM skyrockets. IMO just play with them for like 50 games and you'll get a really good flow with them.

Yeh, its becoming a lot easier now, and thanks for the info on command units cut chemist it makes it a lot easier for my razor naga mouse to get to those units with the click of my right thumb and frees up my left hand to concentrate just on hot keys. Only thing I need to work on is learning the hot keys to make drones create diff buildings, I got how to create diff battle units down.
