demos

on my computer i have a demo of this player possible hacking.
but how do i watch it myself?

the file exstension rite now is .dem

so should i chagne the extension or what?

I think you need a specific program, but you should probs ask Kendle or the council or send them it through email.

There are two ways to watch it. Type the following in your console:

1. playdemo <demoname>.dem (without the<>)
2. demoui (this opens the demo viewer which gives more options when viewing - pause, go to tick, speed) and is generally what I use. Load the demo you want by double clicking on it.

When you record a demo its basically of what you see. What i want to know, is there any way i can record a demo and see exactly what the player is seeing on their screen??

spec them in first person...???

Even if you do that rogue, when the person dies, you lose the sight of that person.

Like do you mean where you can see the hacks (if they have them) while watching them?

No there isn't Wolen. Hacks are client side and not viewable through recording demos.

but on the shawdow demo you can see the hacks clearly.

steps for re-spec'ing a possible hacker if they die lol
1. wait 5-10 seconds for respawn
2. find them again
3. spec til they die
4. repeat steps 1 - 3
you really only loose sight if they leave
and sometimes if you spec you can notice the littlest things like exploits and glitches of what that person is doing
