I want to see who can come up with the best shoping list! what i need is new parts for my old computer want to keep it someone cheep...
what ever you think is best... if it means that i need a new case, i'll get a new case.
You have 5 days to come up with this list for me.
if you have the list that i like the most thats what i'm gonna go with, so don't make me get something that will blow up.
good luck :D and thanks

... I think we'll need a little bit more information to go off of. For instance, what parts do you and don't you need? What exactly is your price limit? What do you need your old computer to run?

If we're talking about your old Windows 98 machine and you want it to run any modern games... I'd recommend just building a new computer.

ok so what your saying is don't fix the 98 start new... i like it ok i'll need everything for a computer, whatever goes in it lol, price rage? ummm how much does it cost to build a good computer? i want it to be better than my parents Hp i will say that, which i cant remember how much it was. i also would want a cd/dvd burner in the list some where, some Usb ports. everything else is up to you.

well, i have freinds who builds comps for his life, i can ask him what you might need

ok i'm gonna say the total price can not go higher than $1,000. as for the parts what ever you think is best. act like you are building a computer of your own, thats under $1,000. i want everyone to be creative with this but i want to be able to build a computer with the list. the list does not need a keybord, mouse, or a moniter. everything else i need.

* i changed the price

mwave.com can build the comp for you but you have to pay extra ($80 includes testing and compatibilty check and installing software) and you have to buy a case and OS disk... they also sell premade from HP, DELL, other brand names and, themselves....

heres that url if you want them to build it : http://www.mwave.com/mwave/buildit.hmx?updepts=computers.hmx&DNAME=Computer+Systems

and as always continue to ask or comment on anything

You can get 2GB of corsair memory for $135?! I had no idea you could get it for that cheap. Where did you see that deal at roguesniper?

HSF is a heat sink. It keeps your computer components cool and happy. They're not very expensive. It's just a plate with a bunch of metal rods sticking out of it. It pulls heat away from your processor.
