So I've been saving up for a while and im nearing my goal of 1000$ for a pc build. I'm looking to get a build that would be great for gaming but also decent for video editing and streaming. Anyone have any recommendations for parts or any builds of their own that might be good? I'm relatively new to PC building so I'd appreciate the help! <3

Here is a rough estimate of what you can get for $1k https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z72n8J
I don't suggest making that because someone can most definitely make a better pc but I would say while your saving up for $1k you could try and start off trying to but a rtx 3060ti for $400, no more than that. Or you could just try and find a used rtx 2070 / super if your lucky under $325.

lotta things I would change about that build, for one get a 9600k instead and get a decent mobo lmao

any particular suggestions you have in mind? I'm looking to take all of the suggestions i end up getting from here and some other techie friends to craft the ultimate build for my needs lol

For sure, right off the bat the workloads you're describing are pretty different. Gaming is more GPU based whereas video editing is pretty heavy on the CPU. So you can't quite compromise in either department. Here's a build for around $1,100 that would work well

However, if you drop below that you're doing to have to cut down the GPU or the CPU. You could try something like a 1660 super instead or, like deerfat said, a used 2060 super / 2070. Like this

Judging by the initial 3060 ti reviews though your best bet is to save up and buy one when they come back in stock

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wZKNYg - unfortunately a little over your budget at $1020. Its a great gaming pc that would definitely be able to stream and do video/audio production.

If you'd be willing to spend more you could buy a second hand GTX 1080 for $350-$400 which is roughly equivalent to the 2070.

That build raises some questions from me

It's got no mobo, interesting build point

Also a sata ssd in 2020 almost 2021 yikesss. stick with a cheap nvme one they're still better than sata ones in every way possible. Hell, they're almost the same price per gig at this point.

And for the CPU. I get it man, everyone loves the AMD train. They're soo good screw intel amarite. Well that's not always the case. Especially at this price point. The 9600k decimates the 3600 in almost every game at 1080p except the few that are heavily multithreaded like fortnite or something. But still a 9600k that you can oc to 4.8-4.9ghz will probably be comparable to a 3600 at multithreaded tests anyways. And the other thing AMD has messed up on, their motherboards. Conveniently there isn't one parted in the build, but their prices are insane. You'd be lucky to find a good b550 one for 100$ that isn't microatx. And that's just for their "lower end" b550 boards, there's still the insanely priced x570 ones :ROFLMAO:

Also that CPU comes with a CPU cooler, there's no need for a hyper 212 haha

If you buy a "B" or most "H" boards, you will NOT be doing any of what you want with that PC, 100% guarantee you that!!

A short version explaination:
B series is a business oriented motherboard that has ports and connectors specifically for businesses so it might not be suitable for home or gaming use. Z series is a gaming/high end motherboard with extra features such as over clocking and newer connectors.

Edit: An H360 that has some of the Z features, but that is like $15 dollars less than the Z soooo......
