Game Overview - Sea of Thieves
Rising up from the depths, on this Game Overview we bring you Sea of Thieves, an incredible sandbox game with a nearly endless capacity for replayability. Released in 2018, SOT offers a wide variety of things for you to do, with things like raining fire on other player's ships, exploring underwater cities for gold, or digging up treasure on the shore. The world is truly your oyster! You can play Sea of Thieves on both Steam and Xbox, for just $39.99, with any other purchases being purely cosmetic.
GAMEPLAY
In Sea of Thieves, you play as a pirate. You get to shape your story and adventure either by yourself, or with up to 3 friends. There is no single way to play, so the opportunities in your journey endless. Some choose to sail and explore uncharted areas, while others choose to seek trouble and attack everything in sight.
Occasionally, you'll come across islands scattered around the world. On them, you can find food to replenish health, as well as weapons to help in combat. Speaking of combat, you can take on skeletons and sharks, in addition to other players. When encountering players, you can choose to fight them and acquire their riches, or befriend them and join forces to conquer everyone in your path.
This is a simplified explanation of what you can expect in the game, so you should definitely consider trying it for yourself!
INTERVIEWS
"Sea of Thieves is best with your friends, you can attack other ships as a team and get their loot! I think alone it would be pretty boring for individuals who aren't interested." - 7 out of 10 @heidi
"Game is pretty fun, I like screaming ARRR and singing sea shanties while edisch221 gets me lots of money and carries me around the seven seas. I also like hiding on other player's ships and talking a lot of smack
Would only recommend with friends." - 7.5 out of 10 @webby
"Sea of Thieves is fun and relaxing. It can go from very peaceful to exciting real fast depending how you want to play the game. It might be slightly slower paced for FPS enjoyers and is way more when you have a few crewmates, but I think it has a little bit for everyone." - 8 out of 10 @EDisch222
"The graphics are pretty good and overall the sea noises sound super realistic. I would tell others to try it out but would say to find a group of friends to play with, sailing a ship on your own isn't as fun as having a crew of four." 7 out of 10 @DDZ ZioNeX
