5v5 New Years Tournament
The 5v5 New Years Tournament will be held Saturday on January 7th , 2023
12PM PST / 2PM CST / 3PM EST
EdgeGamers is happy to announce that we will have another 5v5 Competitive CSGO Tournament again! This time, there won't be anybody selecting people for teams. You and 4 other friends will be able to create a team of 5 people where you will compete in a playoff-style bracket against other teams. The bracket will be announced on the day of the event.

Eligibility Requirements
-Must hold at least a rank for recruit in the community and be active (=(e)= users and above)
-Must be in good standing with the community (No bans within the last 30 days of signing up)
-All players must be MAUL registered and verified. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-You must have a FACEIT account as this is where the tournament will be held

Tournament Information
First come first served, sign up early to guarantee your spot in the tournament
Will be played on the basic competitive setup (30 rounds) with overtime.
Double elimination
BO3 Finals
All matches will be played on FACEIT CS:GO Servers.
You will need to create a team on FACEIT with your entire team and join the hub with that teamVoice Channels will be created for each team to use
No subs (the team you signed up with is the team you play with the entire tournament)
You will be able to stream your own matches! Just make sure you have a delay on
Tournament Rules
If for whatever reason the server malfunctions or there is an error, the round will be replayed.
Teams must be in discord for the duration of their match and cannot be in contact with any person(s) not part of their team / a member of EC during their match.
The use of any hacks, cheats, scripts, exploits, model breaking, or any kind of third party software, as listed in the eGO competition rules, to give you an advantage over another player (e.g. AHK) will result in disqualification from the tournament for both members of the team. The offending player will also be banned from all EdgeGamers servers.
Any use of map exploits and or map bugs are not allowed.
Leadership has final say.
Teams must check in 20 minutes before start time.
Map Selection
Active duty maps only will be played (Mirage, Inferno, Anubis, Ancient, Vertigo, Nuke, Overpass)
For each match Team A and Team B will be able to veto maps. For example, the vetos will go as ( Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Play remaining map)
For the finals, the vetos will go as (Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Picks, Team B Picks, Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Bans, Play Remaining Map if needed).
A knife round will decide which team starts off on which side.
Prizes
1st Place: $50, a month of DS, special role in discord
2nd Place: $20, a month of DS
3rd & 4th Place: A month of DS
Prizes may be updated to include more things later on!!!!
The event will be hosted on our Discord!
The deadline to sign up is December 31st, 2022 11:59PM! Make sure to get your applications in before hand. Keep an eye out and support your friends on the day of the event!
