Activison has came out with another brand new installment to the Call of Duty franchise!
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) is a modern setting fast-paced arcade shooter and is considered as a beginning to a new era of Call of Duty. MW2 came out on October 28, 2022 and plans to be the current Call of Duty for two years which has not been done for 15 years. It comes with a Campaign, Multiplayer, and Special Ops mode. The Campaign features the return of iconic operators from Task 141 while taking on small scale, high stakes infiltration tactical missions to highly classified ones. The Multiplayer brings state of the art gameplay with amazing graphics and all new gun handling. The game still captures the fan favorited fast-paced gameplay with new maps and classic ones as well. The Special Ops mode is great way to form a squad and play with friends while taking on immersive and tactical missions together.
Modern Warfare 2 has two different versions available which are the Vault Edition and just the Standard Edition. Both are currently on sale until Jan. 5th for $59.49 for the Standard Edition and $79.99 for the Vault Edition. They are regularly priced at $69.99 and $99.99, respectively.

The new MW2 is a nice and welcome addition to the COD franchise. It keeps many enjoyable aspects of the newer games, while removing most of the less appealing aspects (looking at you slide canceling). I feel like the campaign was well done and really enjoyed it. The multiplayer is mostly okay, but there are some elements I don't care for too much. Warzone and DMZ are quite enjoyable as well. I feel comfortable giving the game a 3.8/5 rating.

I love the warzone with the new proximity chat, you can just taunt your enemies. The campaign is one of my favorites of the recent ones, never gets boring

The campaign was ultimately very fun, and challenging (hardcore mode ftw) and left me feeling mostly satisfied. The multiplayer has fun engaging modes, although the maps do grow to be a bit repetitive. Combined with how the gun unlock system works, it can be quite the grind to get a weapon or attachment you want. Warzone 2 has been a joy, and the addition of prox chat and dmz (CODs version of tarkov) I'll say it's decently well rounded. I give 3/5 for the overall issues with the games in regards to glitches, broken UI, and random game crashes. Is it worth 70$? That'll be up to you. My money is it's worth 50$-60$

MW2 (2022) is a like a cold beer on a warm summer day, you know what it's going to be like, but still its refreshing. After the past 2 CODs, it's nice to be back onto a cod that makes some sense. Sure, it has its problems, all call of duty titles since as long as I can remember have. The gameplay itself is as you would expect, people who want faster paced matches play on the Shoothouse 24/7 playlist, and those who want something a bit slower play on the Tier 1 playlist.
a pleasant surprise for me was how enjoyable the Ground war and Invasion gamemodes are. One thing that's really captivated me is the camo grind, I have been grinding weapons to get the camo challenges unlocked.
Currently I have platinum on all of the Snipers, and working on the Marksman Rifles. With shipment 24/7 coming out soon, I cannot wait to grind the shotguns and SMGs.
