[eGO] Minecraft Server Remake

Alright, just wanna start this off by saying hello and to introduce myself since I never post on this forum.

I go by Snailss, I'm 20 and I play on the Csgo Jb servers mostly but recently I decided to check out the Minecraft server eGO runs because I enjoy the JB community and thought I might enjoy the MC community as well. Upon joining the server, it only had 3 people. Two of which were admins and the other one was me. Since I joined and saw how dead the server was I go check to see how many people are online every time I get on Minecraft. Personally while I haven't been checking on it too long, I've never seen more than 5 maybe 10 people on.... IF THAT.

With how successful the other eGO platforms are, I have no doubt that the MC server could indeed have hope of being popular if done correctly...
My suggestion is that since I already have experience in running mc servers ,and making them a little bigger and bettter, that you let me try to revamp this server with different plugins that are more updated, more options on what to play rather than just survival minecraft with a couple small plugins to make it slightly different from vanilla minecraft.

The eGO Minecraft server looks like its in trouble and dying if not dead already and I feel as if I could truly help make it better, but in my opinion it needs to be scrapped and start new.

I think I got carried away in the moment and didn’t fully state my intentions clearly. I just want to help I’m not looking to gain anything all I’m saying is from my personal experience from helping run 2 previous servers I could help w suggestions and further questions if needed.

For example:
•Getting a new claiming plugin with a better way to see all claims. (Whether your own or other players)
•Keeping the server up to date w the latest version of minecraft if it is going to stay just survival.
•Better advertising for the server on the forums, other eGO communities, and social media if possible.
•If you are willing to do more than just survival, then you could create a hub and have multiple different choices. Such as mini games, factions or hardcore factions(closer to vanilla minecraft), kit pvp, creative, etc.
•
I could name other things but I’m not sure what direction you guys want to go with it so I don't think it’s necessary. The reason I said start from new is because from an outside perspective of someone who isn’t able to talk with the admins freely about what the future plan for the server is, it looks like there isn’t one at all. From the time I spent looking I couldn’t find anything on future updates or ideas for the future of the server on the forums to keep the community in the loop leading me to believe there just wasn’t and they gave up.

Also as far as me saying, “let me try to revamp the server w different plugins” all I meant was that I have already bought multiple popular plug-ins factions/ modified survival servers use (mcmmo, shopgui+, essentialsx, LP, pre-made config for stable ecconomy to save time and is easily configurable, and a couple other smaller ones) and that I can easily either help put them in the server or possibly send the file to one of the people running it if only used for ego server.

As far as for what you said about leadership considering my proposal, I am confused a little. I was in no way trying to make a proposal I just decided to check out egos other communities besides csgo and and saw how the Minecraft server was and wanted to offer advice since I have a bit of previous experience and to maybe give a small amount of help if needed to hopefully bring it up to ego standards.

I apologize for the first post cause I didn’t fully explain myself and it was very vague, you are correct. I hope this can clear some things up and possibly help the minecraft ego community. Please message me or reply to this if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your post. With the new update out, we have been busy working to get 1.20 up. Last meeting, the community decided to keep things simple and continue keeping it simple in future updates.

We are planning to put up an Event server like we have before, which has always done well by us. I will for sure listen to ideas, but please keep in mind we have tried a lot of gamemodes in the past, our community has preferred a peaceful, simple survival.

Also I would love to talk and hear more about what happened in the past of the server to push it to just survival and just learn more about the future of the mc server. Hope to talk to you soon!

I 100% agree keeping it survival mode (vanilla) it allows people to play the base game while also not having to fear that people are going to grief their builds or hard work. That said I hope to see you in Mc at some point so we can play together

Also Snailss You should always feel free to reach out to myself or another staff member to find out the goal of a specific game group. Even though I might not have the answer at the time I will always do my best to reach out and figure out what solutions can be provided or connect you with the people directly. Just because you are not "admin" doesn't mean you cant know what our vision is for the services we provide to all out members.
