July marks 17 YEARS in business for EdgeGamers offering not just game servers but a place for gamers to connect, relax and have fun. Community Management Updates
In the past few months, our Community Management team has been working tirelessly, and we have some exciting news to share with you. Here's a brief overview of our current structure and the new team members we've added in the last few months. While some may have already been announced, look at this as a re-introduction of our team. We're also making some strategic changes to set ourselves up for success in the coming months.Admin Development
March we welcomed @Luna as our Community Manager overseeing the development of consistent admin processes, documents, policies, and training. Luna has been tasked with maintaining a small, dedicated team to support our games with admin bases, ensuring our admins meet high standards consistently. From creating and updating Admin 101 and other essential documents to closely monitoring administrative actions like server activities, bans, and complaints, the Admin Development team plays a crucial role. They have the final say in how our admins interact with players. Luna has done a spectacular job in maintaining our high standards. She reports within our operational structure under FirezFury & Adam.
Counter-Strike Leadership
Also in March, we welcomed @Spare, who is now leading our efforts in Counter-Strike. As this game holds a significant presence in our community, we've placed our complete trust in Spare to build and maintain a team of rockstars to keep us moving forward. With CS2 on the horizon, the team has a lot of exciting work ahead. Spare reports within our operational structure under FirezFury & Adam.
Tech Team Advancements
April brought a new addition to our tech team - @Garrett. With his determined attitude, Garrett is driving our server infrastructure support to the next level across many of our supported games. Our tech team faces numerous challenges due to the sheer volume of daily requests, but Garrett has efficiently navigated this space, providing strong leadership and streamlining processes. Garrett reports within our technical structure under GardenGroveVW.
Enhancements in FiveM
Within FiveM, we've seen two major changes. @Oblixion, who served as Community Manager, has transitioned to our Tech Team as Community Manager for GTA Tech. His focus is now on integrating GTA development processes into our Tech Team to break down any previous isolation. Oblixion continues to provide valuable insights to the GTA leadership team while shifting his focus towards development and the tech side of things. Oblixion reports within our technical structure under GardenGroveVW.
Promotions and Growth in GTA
To fill the operational void within GTA, we promoted @Afroman in May. He has taken on the responsibilities previously held by Oblixion and is now spearheading the next phase of growth for our GTA server. Over the past few months, GTA has experienced rapid growth with an increasing player base, and Afroman is dedicated to supporting player needs and ensuring the server remains top-notch. Afroman reports within our operational structure under FirezFury & Adam.
Introducing a New Role
Our Community Manager for Overwatch, @Star, has taken on a new role as Senior Manager of Relations & Communication. This exciting position will support our leadership teams by gathering feedback through regular meetings and engagements. Additionally, Star will partner with our Media and Member Services teams to effectively communicate updates, changes, and our overall strategy for transparency and engagement. You may see similar updates like this coming from Star in the future. We're confident that this new role will bring positive changes to our community. Other Technical Team Updates
As mentioned before, @Oblixion has moved to a new role within the tech team. We will continue to add talented individuals to the tech team to ensure the smooth functioning of EdgeGamers behind the scenes. Additionally, we've made a strategic decision to recognize highly trusted individuals who might take on more behind-the-scenes roles over time as Technical Consultants rather than Community Managers of Tech. These consultants will work exclusively with and receive requests from @GardenGroveVW. We're pleased to announce that @oey192, @crc1225, and @Covert have been recognized as Technical Consultants for our community. We appreciate their dedication and expertise in keeping our community running smoothly.

At EdgeGamers, we strive to maintain our servers and forums to offer the best gaming experience. However, maintaining these services comes with costs. Our tech leaders, especially @GardenGroveVW, work hard to optimize our resources and be responsible with our funds. We operate on a model where player and member contributions fuel our services.
