Supported Games Update 9/24/2023

You may have noticed that we have been working on our official EdgeGamers Discord Server, changing much of the layout. While this project is still a work in progress, you may have seen some new names pop up on the listing of our supported games.

New Supported Games

We've added Battlebit and Dead by Daylight as supported games with Leadership working to provide exciting chatter, experiences, and events with these games.

• Battlebit will be headed by 4g0tt3nSou1 and @Mr.Baron. EdgeGamers currently supports a single server, set up as Hardcore Rush 24/7.
• Dead by Daylight brings a familiar face back to Leadership in b t , who has taken a Manager position to support DBD.

We're excited to see what these two games with their new leaders have in store within EdgeGamers. In addition to these games, we will continue to monitor new releases (or older games our community may have interest in) to pick up support for.

We frequently get asked what it takes to have a game supported by the community. The answer is simple - a motivated leader with a plan. The reasons both Battlebit and Dead by Daylight have been greenlit are due to the leaders positioned to give the games a shot. We wish 4g0tt3n, Mr.Baron, and Bt the best of luck with their new journeys ahead of them.

Overwatch Update

Overwatch has been a supported game in EdgeGamers since 2020. We saw raving success with the peak of the original Overwatch game. More recently, especially with the tough launch of Overwatch 2, activity has dropped, and maintaining excitement around the game has been a challenge for our leaders representing the game.

With the recent state of the game and active interest within the community waning, it's been decided to move forward and end our official support for Overwatch. There have been many leaders who have poured their hearts and souls into the game and its support in our community over the last 3 years. We thank everyone who made fun and exciting experiences as we supported Overwatch - leadership and members both.

We'd like to make a special recognition to Buster , @EDisch222, and monky who have continued to lead up till the end.

In one week (Oct 1), the eGO Overwatch Discord will be archived. In its place, we will hold a few channels in our main EdgeGamers Discord for players to connect and jump in-game for a match of Overwatch 2.
