Counter-Strike Operations Update!

We’ve been seeing some confusion on the state of our counter-strike game support.
To clarify, here’s the status of our operations:

Counter-Strike: Source: Fully Online!
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: Fully Online!
Counter-Strike 2: Offline; In development!

Can I still play on CS:GO servers?
Yes! Right click on your game in steam. Select Properties -> Beta -> Beta Participation (drop-down) -> csgo_legacy. After a small download, you should now be given an option to play either CS2 or CS:GO when launching. (If you do not see this option, you may need to go to General -> Launch Options (drop-down) -> Ask When Starting Game.

Does EdgeGamers support CS2?
Not Yet. Tech is working on porting our core plugin functionality to MetaMod, which will enable us to support Counter-Strike 2 with full moderation capabilities. This is no simple task that requires analyzing and reverse-engineering needles in haystacks.
We do not have an ETA for when this will be finished.

Counter-Strike is a core part of EdgeGamer's DNA, and we're not going anywhere anytime soon.
We're extremely excited to see the future of Counter-Strike community servers with the incredible capabilities of the Source 2 engine.

The fact that Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are fully online is fantastic news for the community.
For those interested in trying Counter-Strike 2, it's good to know that it's in development. The option to play either CS2 or CS:GO through Steam provides flexibility for players. It's also exciting to hear that EdgeGamers is committed to supporting Counter-Strike 2, even though it's a complex task. The Source 2 engine brings exciting possibilities for the future of community servers.
On a different note, if you're into gaming, have you ever tried out bingo blackout? It's a fun way to take a break from the action and enjoy some gaming of chance.

Considering all the complaints in the main CSGO2 forums. I am going to share that info about csgo_legacy there.

Is Coming Soon.... * about 6-12 months, eta Nov 2024 *

I dont like GO, nor GO2. And both are MODS of the CS franchise. CSS is a port made from 1.6 to Source, due to me speaking with someone at VALVe.

This time they didnt listen. Porting GO to Source 2 instead of CSS... So Im doing it anyway.
