Counter-Strike Update​

January 1 strikes the end of legacy CS:GO server support from Valve. With this, all legacy EdgeGamers CS:GO servers have been shut off. We continue to move forward with development on CS2 servers to bring back our prominent CS community within eGO. This week, a meeting took place between Counter-Strike leaders, community board and executive members, and the Tech team to forge forward on a final plan to launch quality driven CS2 servers in the near future. Our tech team at the direction of the CEO and CIO will be re-prioritizing all projects to focus as many efforts towards CS as possible. It is expected that we have good news involving servers like Jailbreak in the very near future. Keep your eyes on our homepage for a follow up announcement to this one outlining progress and direction directly from the CS and Tech teams.

General Leadership Update​

We wanted to notify the community of two Leadership changes as we move into 2024. GardenGroveVW, our Chief Information Officer, has decided to rename and be recognized as Don. Across the community, many members have grown to know Don under this username more prominently than GardenGroveVW. A second name change will also be recognized within our Leadership team. Karma, Manager for Member Services will be renaming to Skyz. To avoid confusion in our roster, we wanted to ensure that the community was aware of these changes. Both members will maintain their respective ranks and responsibilities.

I’ve spent years calling him Don, now I’ll revert back to GGVW, just to go against the system.

Happy New Year to the team and definitely agree with prioritizing JB / CS2. I think it’s the most in demand and will drive things forward well when it’s launched. I’ve said to many (and have good faith) that the wait will be worth it and our server will be well above any others that have come out.
