Should the last guard have wall hack enabled?

Dear JB community,

An important question surrounding last guard is: "should the last guard have wallhack?". I personally believe you should for a number of reasons:
  • If the map is large (or even if it isn't) it makes killing all Terrorists easier,
  • It ensures that any Terrorists hiding from the warden/not pursuing the last guard are killed,
  • It benefits all players because the round finishes quicker.

I am probably going to be developing the functionality for the last guard so any feedback ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
I think I would implement whatever the general community consensus is, whether that's wallhack or not, or maybe some other ideas (such as last guard only having wallhack when the time is almost up? Thank you Ace for this suggestion).

Look forward to hearing your guys' thoughts.

Last guard already takes up a lot of time when the majority of the server is dead and unable to play. I don't see how the last ct having wallhack could possibly make last guard shorter, it would just make it easier for them to live
 
Honestly, I'm 50/50. It would probably work, but for me at least, I would prefer the Prisoners have an Audible/Visual Beacon/Ping on them during Last Guard. Or at least if there is a wallhack, it's not on for the entirety of Last Guard. Maybe have it turn off/on every 5-10 seconds so it's not stupid easy for the Guard.
 
No Last Guard takes more than enough time as it is, allowing him to be alive longer just makes the round way longer than it should be especially if he makes it to LR.
 
No, once the last guard plugin is properly implemented, assuming nothing changes, the extra HP depending on amount of prisoners left, along with the beacon and a ping sound. It’s the perfect way to keep LG short and sweet while still making it a fun little final boss for LR.

Okay, I will experiment with the beacon/ping sound stuff. If people don't like it we can just remove it. Thank you all for your input.

I'll send you a clip if how last guard used to work in your dm's if your curious. Basically, the game would add up how much health the remaining prisoners had, give the last guard about half, usually resulting in the last guard having about 300HP. Then everyone alive would have a beacon spawn around them, and every couple seconds it would ping, revealing their location. If you're trying to experiment with making JB plugins, I would highly recommend applying for our tech team if you haven't already.

If Last CT is activated, that’s because Guards ultimately failed at controlling the round. We shouldn’t reward Last CT, that’s a slippery slope. We want Guards to prioritize winning the rounds by working with Warden and reaching LR. Not by giving Guards an easy win through Last CT.

I do agree with you though that Last CT shouldn’t elongate rounds. There should be other methods done to achieve this, such as round timer changes when Last CT is activated.

Hi, thanks for making this suggestion and i think LE will see it as well, but first things first when its Last Guard everyone has to pursue the round otherwise they will be given a consequence. second thing is that once the JB plugin is fixed a beacon will be on the Last Guard so that the prisoners can attempt to kill them. Its either Kill the Last Guard or kill until 2 Prisoners are left alive
 
Yep that makes sense.

Clearly the beacon approach worked well in the past for this community so that seems like the right implementation this time around too. Thanks everyone for commenting/voting.. :)

To clarify, T’s are under no obligation to pursue the last guard. They can choose to hide, however, admin discretion is key in certain scenarios of server disruption/exploiting.

considering last guard has to pursue rebellers, seeing through walls would FORCE them in a certain direction
