I heard about it from game award shows but was convinced by watching gameplay of it on Twitch. I like the very over-the-top nature of it, as well as being purely PvE, though I can 'accidentally' kill my friends for fun. The game is a lot of fun to play, it's really interesting, especially with the galactic war aspect bringing people together, but the servers have some frustrating instabilities. I would wholeheartedly recommend the game to others. I'd give it 4.5 stars, with the only blemish being the mentioned server issues, but otherwise, the game is a blast!

I've been a fan of Helldivers since the first installment, and my anticipation for Helldivers 2 has been longstanding. One of the standout aspects of the game is its emphasis on teamwork - it's not just about individual skills, but what each player brings to the table. And of course, who can forget the joy of spreading democracy? Helldivers 2 delivers on multiple fronts, presenting a well-rounded gaming experience. The mechanics are top-notch, complemented by impressive graphics and precise hit detection. While there are occasional glitches, they're minor and hardly disrupt the gameplay. This game thrives on the adrenaline rush of high-stakes situations. Whether it's desperately awaiting extraction with no revives left while facing formidable enemies like bile titans or tanks, or tackling the relentless scorcher, Helldivers 2 keeps you on the edge of your seat. It rewards quick thinking and strategic use of your surroundings. Helldivers 2 earns a solid 5-star rating from me. It's not just fun; it's downright exhilarating, especially when teamed up with the right group of players.

I liked the progression system the most, wasn’t too grindy nor to pay to win. I also like the freedom you and your friends get when playing the game. A great game in this day and age. Doesn’t follow the new and boring pay-to-win systems and actually awards players. (Heard about the game from) YouTube. Yes (would recommend).

I heard about the game through TikTok, and suddenly loads of memes came on my FYP and that made me interested. The different stratagems and the way you call them in is something I haven't seen before. Next to that the fact it's an infinite loop of gameplay but still fun after tens of hours is pretty cool. The low(er) price compared to the AAA games that ask for $70 I'd say it's a steal. If you have some spare money and are looking for a game to kill time Helldivers is fun on your own or with friends. Yes very much! 5/5 haven't had this much fun with a game in a year.

I heard it from the communities that I am in. As a YouTuber, I hang around a lot of other content creators and say that they were constantly playing it when it first dropped, and begging me to play it with them. I was skeptical at first, as $40 is a pretty big price tag considering I buy almost all my games on sale, but eventually gave in. My favorite feature is how unapologetically patriotic and nationalizing the game is. It’s impossible to play a second without immediately feeling like you would die for Super Earth, whether it be the salute, freedom cries, the liberation/defense for the planet, or simply the massive explosions everywhere. My general opinion is that it’s a refreshing experience from the copy-paste triple AAA games we’ve been slammed with over the past few years. Gamers have been eating REALLY well over the past months, what with BG3, Lethal Company, Palworld, and now this? It feels like right as someone gets burnt out from one of these smaller studio titles, we immediately get hit with a new one that eats up all my free time. I would recommend it to anyone assuming that they have friends to play with, or are comfortable talking to strangers. The game, difficulty-wise, is built around playing with other people, as solo is a death sentence. Additionally, the game overall is much more fun when you are yelling at your fellow soldiers, accidentally nuking them, or protecting them from a bile titan. It’s playable by yourself, yes, but I understand the $40 price tag hurts, so I would say get it if you have people to play it with. I’m typically stingy with my stars, so I will say 4. Currently, I am absolutely loving every moment of it and would want to say a 5, but 5 I reserve for true perfection, a game I will replay many times over the course of many years. This game I can imagine getting burnt out of after a couple more weeks, but I am enjoying it while I can. The other aspect that drops it a point is the fact that this game is running on a mang years-old abandoned engine, and suffers from numerous bugs and glitches. Not Cyberpunk launch levels, but you will frequently get stuck in the map or teleport to weird places or go A pose, which has a charm but can be infuriating in battle. Overall, though, it is truly a great game that I plan to sink many more hours into.

The community aspect of the game. Everyone is fighting for the same cause, which unites us and makes us feel like what we are doing matters as a whole which is a type of experience video games haven’t given us recently. The game is buggy right now and suffering from success, but once the dust settles the game will come out on top and be one of the best games of the year. I would recommend it to others. The bugs in the game are temporary just have patience when starting out.
