Game Overview: Content Warning
Today's topic of discussion is the latest release of a game called Content Warning! If you have jumped on the most recent bandwagon of co-op horror games such as Lethal Company or Phasmophobia, or ever wanted to become/feel like a SpookTube sensation, this supernatural psychological horror dungeon crawler is for you!
Content Warning is all about bringing friends along and capturing as many horrific incidents as possible before your camera battery runs out or oxygen is depleted. It is encouraged to play 2–4 online co-op; however, solo play is achievable as well. Don't be too worried if some of those friends you bring along go missing; as long as you make it out with the footage of the frightful incident, you'll be a SpookTube celebrity in no time!
Since Content Warning's launch on April 1st, 2024, it has been a huge success. Within 24 hours, with over 6.2 million copies of the game in Steam libraries and over 200K concurrent players, everyone wants to become a SpookTube star! You too can become an internet showstopper, capturing your terrifying encounters, unspeakable incidents, and daunting moments for $7.99! Come along, grab your friends, and go to very distant lands; just make sure to come back with that camera footage!
Content Warning is only available on Steam at the current time.
Gameplay:
Content Warning is a film capture co-op horror dungeon crawler, to say the least. This game offers proximity chat, funky physics, ASCII face customization, and cursed artifacts. If you have ever played Phasmophobia or Lethal Company, this game has the same basic concepts of waking up, clowning around, and performing mundane tasks with a twist of psychological horror. You can team up with 2–4 friends or fly solo as you rummage around, recording the most terrifying clips you can produce.
When you first spawn, you are tucked in your comfy bed within your comfy little home, along with your companions. Customize your face with goofy ASCII abilities and head out the door to obtain your starting equipment. As soon as you're done preparing, set out to plunge into the Old World, where you will record as many horrific or humorous antics as possible within a maximum of 90 seconds of hard drive space. Once you have captured all your footage, attempt to return to safety to upload it to SpookTube and watch yourself become a STAR! If your footage collects enough infamy, you will, in return, see an increase in revenue, allowing you to purchase auxiliary items to aid you in the quality, survivability, or entertaining aspects of your footage. Be careful, as the monsters are not very keen on being recorded and, in some instances, will incapacitate your very ability to upload said footage! Make sure to pay close attention to your heads-up display, as it could increase your chances of becoming SpookTube famous! Now go out and capture some infamous footage; just make sure to label it with a Content Warning and post it on our forums!
Price: $10,49 CAD / $7,99 USD / €7,79 EURO

I had the chance of getting this game for free and it doesn't disappoint. In the beginning, I didn't really understand the character creation part, but I really enjoyed the social media aspect of it. I liked that we played it multiple times and every experience was a bit different. Also, whatever that robot thing was with the laser beams scared the s*** out of me. If you haven't given it a chance, make sure to pick up the game from Steam today.

In the beginning I thought the game was much like other games in this genre, but minutes into the mission it was obvious that something was different. The feel of the game was eerie and then the mission begins. The environment was simple but extremely creepy. It was effectively creepy enough to make me stop and look around in concern. This is the first game that actually made me jump in fright. I literally screamed like a child. The AI director is outstanding as I no longer felt safe. The game is a good time but best with friends and can make you laugh at each other in hindsight. A definite thumbs up. Yep, I recommend it.

(Heard about the game) through friends. I like it, its similar to Lethal Company in Game loop design. What stands out most is the ability to record and watch and playback your shenanigans when you escape the monsters. This is done with an in-game web recorder. Less interesting but a different way of engagement with monsters and friends. Yes (would recommend to friends).
