buster just told me the same thing but that doesnt work just so you guys know
My go to is;
1. Reply to the Count to a Million thread
2. Clear my browser Cache & History
3. Check Maul
4. Reply to a different thread
5. Check Maul
6. Sign out
7. Sign In
8. Reply to an another different thread
9. Check Maul
I usually only have to repeat this 3 times before MAUL decides that I am active on the forums. MAUL is a nice system but boy is it slow.

i just visit the forums every day, never got put on inactive, unless im on vacation
