Vent Pursuing From Armory

I'd say yes and no. The clip you show is ofcourse not cool. No vent was broken and you can't hear the footsteps cuz it's a crouch vent (making it a CTban for the CT). But other maps NEED it that CT's are allowed to pursue from armory. Best example is Spy v Spy. If you don't ler CT's pursue vents if they hear em break it is guarenteed armory for T's literally every round.

Rules should stay as they are imo.
you actually can hear this vent being broken in game

gotta agree with the map balance aspect tho, if cts couldnt pursue that vent you would have nearly all ts camping that vent all round, unless of course we start enforcing no camping/delaying on rebellers sitting in that spot

For me personally, i think rebelling is what makes the game fun for CT and T. I try and be lenient as warden so Ts have a chance to rebel, I find rounds boring as a CT if no Ts rebel at all. W keying secrets as soon as you spawn, or pursuing vents through armory that u can hear brake as soon as you spawn is to OP for CTs in my opinion and makes a lot of vents feel useless if this is allowed. CT is not that hard if u reallllly want to win, but again no one cares that much about a CT win which why overly toxic wardens are frowned upon.

The map where I've seen a lot of people complain on the egregiousness of CTs pursuing vents from armory is Spy vs. Spy, so I'll use that in my example.

The vent cells in Spy vs. Spy can be heard by the CTs when the Ts break them from the cells, so, by the current rules, the CTs would be allowed to pursue vents from armory. For a long time, I didn't agree with this and wholeheartedly would've agreed and understood bliq's argument. And let me say that I still do completely understand where bliq and everyone else is coming from. However, the great thing about Spy vs. Spy is it's still a great map to rebel on, even if you don't go to armory straight from the vent cell. The ventilation system has multiple different passageways, one to deathcrate, where there is a Mac-10 secret, and one next to the soccer field, where you can run to the watchtower and get a scout. This being said, the greatest and most fun part of playing JB for me is reading the CTs and hatching out plans to try to rebel. If there're CTs on that have a pattern of not pursuing vents from armory even when the vent opens, then use that to your advantage. If there're CTs on that are more aware, and harder to catch off guard, then you have to go on some more unorthodox routes to rebel successfully, which is what makes the game fun and ever-changing. If every time a T spawned in a vent cell = guaranteed armory, the fun would die out pretty quick.

tldr: If Ts were able to have a guaranteed armory route every time they spawned in vent cell, it would ruin the fun and creativity of what rebelling is supposed to be. Be creative!!

Pursuing vents from armory should not be allowed and I have only seen it be allowed in cs2. On undertale when CTs see vents open usually at least one CT will go back into armory and spray through the door and pursue the vents. That is 100% camping, once you leave armory are not supposed to go back in. If vents are opened on undertale and you want to pursue the vents it should only be through disco, but many do it through armory without thinking its camping. There should be a definitive rule to stop confusion that CTs cannot re-enter armory unless they can hear or see somebody in there, this would solve the issue on undertale and many other maps that havent been ported yet.

I 100% agree that there's no reason a CT should re-enter armory unless there is an active rebeller who's like shooting from the armory or something along those lines. And in cases like undertale where the armory secret door doesn't open until a minute or so has passed, CTs should not be camping armory waiting for it to open even if they know a T is in there. That is 100% camping and should result in a CT ban if it ever happens

Should not be allowed to pursue from armory because 90% of the vents have something to slow you down. It's impossible to get to armory faster than a ct that can run back and either kill you while you're grabbing a gun or kill you while you're still in the vent.

hm over the years I've been playing JB the only maps that most admins allowed you to pursue vents from armory is spy v spy and MC when the cell doors break/bug out, but thats cause you can hear them break from inside and with what other people have said about it being skill issue and different vent exits I think those 2 maps should be the only ones allowed to pursue through armory. Map like undertale and VIP where you cant hear them, but can still see them should be pursued from a different entrance other than armory.

It's a t secret. Stop letting this be allowed as part of the game. Require all CTs to exit armory before pursuing anything, and then don't let them go back into armory to pursue a vent. example clip of what is technically allowed but shouldn't be . This topic has been covered but nobody who plays the game actually likes that this is part of the game. an improv war day is more fun than a 20t free spraydown.
This rule will not be changed due to the reasons that MS said HERE. I also understand and see your points, I have added a new rule in the FAQ to SPECIFICALLY change pursuing armory through vents on undertale. This might be weird for some of you but this was a rule in the past and it will be coming back for that map in specific. Let me know if you have any questions! Look For map specific part of FAQ.

TLDR:
You can only pursue armory on undertale after you see that the vent is open and when cell doors are open.

If you open armory right away it will be server disruption most of the time bc T's spawn right next to the door and they will probably run right in since its directly next to cells. So please be careful!

pursuing through disco is unfair for the t's that get tpd to climb, disco, and even dropdown then take vent tp

the t's that go vents just need to play better and not afk at the door expecting free armory
