I agree that it is better than nothing; however, I wish the time limit to try a game was more like 4-8 hours instead of 2 hours. I'm usually configuring settings and just trying to understand a game, and then 2 hours have already passed. It varies game to game, but having something is better than nothing.

Better than nothing, and not something you can do with physical games, short of reselling it yourself.

I've never had a problem with the way they do their refunds. I remember once in particular I bought a game which went on sale the very next day, so I asked if they could like price match it and they actually did refund part of the amount. Which they didn't have to do, so I appreciated that.

GameStop: yea i'll give you $2 and this half eaten pizza roll with pocket lint on it.

Good to know.

I paid for CSGO when it first came out. I had Assault, Militia, Agency taken away when they came out with CS2. So I requested a refund on my paid game of CSGO.

Well, they hit me back up and said they can't offer me a refund because I've sold inventory from CSGO doubling the amount I paid for the game. To that I said, you know what, understood. Still upset about losing CSGO but I basically made money. So... fair. Im happy with their refund system.

I'm honestly quite happy with Steam's refund system. Being able to refund a game for whatever reason under 2 weeks time/2 hours playtime is fairly reasonable. In some games it'd definitely be nice to have more playtime, but I've found them to be pretty lenient provided you explain why (MSFS for example has a long external download that eats into playtime, so if you go over, they're usually pretty understanding). It's far better than both what physical games offer, and what many other game platforms offer as well, so it's hard to genuinely complain about.

What blank said-- but there are drawbacks, as there are several instances where you may not encounter a game breaking issue or bug into way further into the game. Even with that said, I would be willing to pay a little extra for the games if they came with a form of insurance that you will enjoy the entire game. Maybe that's a million-dollar idea.
