I’ve noticed a lot of people aren’t really using the Auction House right now, and I think everyone would benefit from it. It’s a lot easier than spamming chat when you’re trying to sell something, and your items stay listed even while you’re offline.
Opening the AH
Use /ah to open the Auction House menu. This is where you can browse items, list your own, and manage sales.
Buying Items
Open /ah and browse through the listings. Click an item to view the price and seller, then confirm to buy it. Bought items go straight into your inventory.
Selling Items
Hold the item you want to sell and type /ah sell <price>. Example: /ah sell 500 to list it for $500. Make sure you’re only holding the amount you want to sell. Some setups might charge a small tax or listing fee, so just be aware of that.
Canceling Listings
Go to the “My Listings” tab in /ah and click the item you want to cancel.
Claiming Items or Earnings
Check the “Expired” or “Sold” sections to grab unsold items or collect your money.
Quick Tips
Price your items fairly, check what others are listing.
Enchanted gear, rare materials, and tools tend to sell better.
Disclaimer: This is something I had written a couple years back, new versions of AH might differ from the above guide.
