I'll vote no as a general rule of thumb for how I purchase, but there's been the rare times over the years there's some big follow up game that I've wanted and pre-ordered.

I did stand in line with some friends in college while they waited for the latest call of duty game to release at midnight... anyone recall midnight releases? Lol

No, my home insurance cost me $8000 a year now on top of all my other bills. I wait for games to go on sale after I scrounge up some money.
