This hasn't happened before and I don't think it has to do with any Steam updates 'cause it doesn't work for old or new demos.
The error message is:
DispInfo_LoadDisplacments: dispcounts (0 and 591) don't match.
I tried searching Google and the steampowered forums but came up with nothing... (notice that "Displacements" is intentionally misspelled without the 'e' -- the error message is misspelled like that.

Any ideas? Is it possibly because the ava server's map is different from the original ava map?
Edit: I should add that it sort of loads up (it hangs for a while) and then exits the game. Then the error message pops up
