Another new helmet

My 3rd helmet, my 2nd Scorpion. I had an EXO 400 (replaced the liners and sold it to a friend today), this is a 700 series. More comfortable I think and better venting and aerodynamics. The paint job is pretty rad, the colors in the design change from a dark red to the green.

I don't know, when it comes to helmets I'm like a chick and shoes.

The pics don't do the detail justice. There's skulls and roses and little things all through the cross on the back. On the chin it says "SCORPION".

Wow man that pretty bad ass... was it custom painted and what did that run you?

Nope, it's a factory paint job amazingly. It was $271 tax, title and license from Woods fun center here in Austin. It may sound like a lot, but it's a great bang for the buck. It's a full on race quality helmet like a Shoei or Arai, and those kinda helmets run $600+.

wow...they even cuztomize helmets and theres types of them? whoa. I thought you would just go and grab any size and color that you wanted. never knew that went into aeordynamics...but then again...im 14

Aerodynamics are HUGE on a full face. Basically they design the helmet to have as little resistance as possible when you running at speed. Another huge part of it is being able to turn your head at speed to check over your shoulder when changing lanes. At 70-75 mph it was a fight to keep my head stable with my old HD modular, this one it's like I ain't even wearing it.
