A reminder of why I love this place

I've been playing on eGO servers exclusively since march now so I'm pretty out of touch with the rest of the online gaming world. Hell, I just ain't got the time that I used to have. I have played TFC a few times but, when I did, I had the game volume low and my music up loud so I couldn't hear the voice comms.

The past few days I've been playing Modern Combat and it's reminded me why I joined eGO in the first place. On the voice comms it's nothing but "f this" and "f you", racist bullcrap, and the lovely random voice spam of people either singing or horrible random noises. I'll admit, when I was younger I used to laugh at that kind of stuff and enjoy doing it. I can't tell you how many times I was kicked from CS 5.2 servers for spamming "OBEY YOUR MASTER" over and over and over and over again. However, now crap like that just ruins the game for me. Tking and spamming obviously do the same to everyone, but even people cussing profusely ingame now annoys the crap out of me to the point of me not wanting to play the mod at all anymore.

As this community celebrates it's 1st birthday I just want to say how much I, and I'm sure everyone else feels the same, appreciate all the hard work that's gone into the website, the forums, the servers, and everything else that goes on around here. This is not only the best clan in the gaming world, it's the best community period amen.

and passed! im the exact same way. no other servers xcept for eGO in DoDS, and i rarely play any other online game ne more, BF2 and UT are rare now.

I got into gaming late so I have never appreciated the annoying things little bastids do. I was an admin for speedwise BFV and was known as 'the tyrant' because I banned IMMEDIATELY for racist remarks and disruptive gameplay. It became a big deal when speedwise became the last real pub server. I quit and now I'm here with a new bunch of fellas that feel the same as me. Maturity, teamwork, and a sense of community. Keep it up!

Yep when I joined we only had a few guys who played every night. Now we have so many that I dont even know them all! The little experiment has turned into something really huge. Now we are like a magnet that draws the best in the game to our servers. We have lots of ppl from all walks of life, young, old and many with real special talents. I hope that we can continue to grow and stay with what got us here.

I am enjoying this clan more than my old tfc clan.I was a little worried about the merger but you guys are handling it very well. When my old clan had a merger it was ugly. My clan survived but it was still ugly. I believe the tier levels of this clan is what makes it a huge success along with a great group of mature attitudes. I truly believe that in the future online communities will be looking at us as an example of greatness and orginizations affiliated with DOD will ask us for advice.

I, personally, don't think of this as a clan as much as it is a community of gamers that want to enjoy playing DoD:S in a mature environment.

I exclusively play on the eGO servers (usually Kalt) for this very reason. When I want to play that's ALL I want to do.

I can't stand people who act like punks and spam/swear/say racist stuff or anything of the sort. It wrecks the game.

Thank you to eGO for creating a community of mature people who want to play and have fun.
