Hey guys I wanted ask if any of you had or are having problems playing your steam games? Appearantly my Norton Antiviruse, is blocking DoD Source from running on my system for the reason that it's confusing it as a trojan horse viruse.
After running a full system scan and deleting and re-installing my whole steam file contents, the problem was still present. When ever I run DoD Sourse it promps me with a error window that says "The game is currently unvailable. Please try another time."
I was able to get hold of a technician of the antiviruse company through chat support and they told me the following:
Mr._Abraham_Trejo: As I mentioned before, this problem only accours with the game application trying to run not on the whole system overall.
Jomcy: This seems to be a heuristic detection, possibly due to some updates to Counter Strike Source or to some CS mods. We are in the process of investigating this issue. I suggest you to run a live update in 24-48 hours and then run a full system scan on the computer. If it still detects any infections please contact us back with your case number.
Anyways this kind of sucks for me, for the reason I wanted to lend some of my skills for the scrim that is going down tomorrow. Hopefully this bastardos of norton fix the bug soon cause then I really dont know how to fix the issue. I really dont want to unistall the antiviruse for the reason I just don't want to let the door of my system open for viruses and spyware to come in freely.
If any of you all had this problem please help your parthner in battle try to resolve the issue. Any help and "smartly" advices are welcomed.
Thanks,
outlaw
