My spyware nightmare

So last nite I got in from football ready to play DOD, I had a hankering for the KK server after the recent and quite excellent scrim. I was greeted by a PC that was practically crawling with malicious spyware, somehow I had allowed these "programs" onto my pc in the last day or so. Either that or a few had been there without me realising.

To put it bluntly, I had pop ups coming out of every available orifice. It was a clicking nightmare!

I ran Bullguard which until now has been my trusty anti-virus/anti-spyware utility, it found two malicious registry entries which I promptly allowed it to fix. I rebooted believing I was in the clear only to be greeted by the same problem. I couldn't chuffing believe it. In an attempt to rectify this I downloaded every anti-spyware piece of software I could, each said I was clean. Hmm, methinks not. The list included AVG anti spyware, spywareGuard, spyware blaster, etc. I basically downloaded every free spyware remover I could find.

None of the above solved this problem! You can imagine how much hair I had lost by now. So I downloaded Spyware doctor, the preliminary scan revealed that I had no less than 193 infections and that most of them were "high risk" including a few trojan horses which apparently let more spyware in.

The madness doesn't stop there though, early I had lost my bankcard (or it had been stolen) and so I was forced to have it cancelled. It didn't help that spyware Doctor requires a license (you gotta buy it) before you can actually remove the infections. No free trial or anything, just a free scan. So to sum up I need to buy this software to cure my pc but I can't because I have no bank card with which to pay. Fun huh.

So I am sitting here now with a screen telling me that my comp is well and truly screwed but I can't do anything about it.

Gotta wait till me rents wake up so I can ask to use their bank card, :( oh bother

I can't believe none of the other programs found these problems, sucks

I don't know if you have already fixed your problem but I have done my fair share of "PC cleansings" in my time so I know of a few handy tools to help get rid of spyware, malware, trojans, etc. Probably the easiest to use is this newer piece of software that I found recently, it is called SUPER AntiSpyware, AND the best part about it is that it's free to use. Just run this once and then reboot and you should be spyware free for the most part.

OUCH, ya know ive had that happen but now with my files and stuff if someone actually manages to get at my pc (highly doubt it have norton) then ive pretty muched freaked them out because ive got a file that says identifications or some thing on my desktop, so they would look at that first and the first three lines say that this file is infected with a virus that will AH HEM "screw up" ur computer as soon as it is accesed or read.
LOL, just thought i would do that so they would freak out if they got in my stuff.
