So I've been wondering, how come there aren't any Pacific front maps in DoD?
I have a few ideas on them but I don't know how to make maps, weapons, or player models.
I was thinking they would be maps similar to strand, where the allies start on a beach and head up to the middle of an island (possibly the entire island is explorable). The Japanese would have to defend the hill, and the Americans would attack. Once the Allies get to the top of the hill and hold it for say 1 minute they would win.
The only problem with a pacific front map is this...
DoD tries to stay as historically accurate as it can and Japanese weapons were immensely outdated by Allied and German weapons. The only ways of getting around this would be to either up the power of the weapons to even it out or possibly add ghillie suits to their armor.
For the models, they'd be wearing beige clothing similar to the Americans, wide brimmed hats that the British wore in World War 1. (some Japanese wore these, but it would mainly be to tell allies and axis apart from a distance. They'd be slightly shorter than the Americans. (I believe the Germans have taller models than the Americans, but don't quote me on that.) And finally they'd add a different face to the model.
This is just a basic overview of my idea, it needs work but I think it would be awesome to have levels in both fronts.
