Hey, I am a writer if anyone is interested. Reviews of my books here...

This isn't spam. I just figured it'd be a nice way to connect and get to be known better by my fellow eGO-ers.

I have written two chapbooks and a novella. A chapbook is a book, usually 20-40 pages, with poetry from one author. My novella is 80-odd pages, and just came out this week. Here are a couple reviews...

"R.A. Mattheson is a true poetic genius. His dark and haunting prose is made beautiful with his off-the wall and truly original rhythmic style of story telling. He has a real knack for anything debauchery. Somehow he can write about rotted roses and make them seem even more gorgeous and elegant. Highly recommended. Highly entertaining. Mother Mori will have you aroused and sickened at the same time. Easily a five-out-of-five read."
-- Marc G. Schoenbach (Behavioral Therapist, Master's in Psychology)

"Mother Mori is a wonderfully written novella that takes the reader on a
perverse expedition through the mind of an atypical protagonist. Matheson's
writing sytle is a unique mixture of Chuck Palahniuk's dark, twisted, and
captivating plots coupled with the elegant, evocative language reminiscent
of Charles Dickens. Because the novella is loaded with symbolism, metaphors and such a descriptive language, Matheson is able pull his reader into the story with ease." -- Danielle Brown (Literary Student)

Well, my novella is prose, not poetry. I do have two poetry books out, and they aren't traditional poetry. They are post-modern stuff with no form really.

On a side-note, I've just completed a novel that is about 25,700 words. I'm just waiting on the artwork to be finished for it.

My artist is a guy named Jurriaan who is from the Netherlands. He's unbelievable. [link=http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=15288725&MyToken=85bf76ac-83b8-47cb-aae1-a0a5b87dea7a]Check out his myspace page[/link]. He's done all the art for all of my books.

I'm currently reading Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment . It's great so far. I read The Catcher in the Rye and Animal Farm over the last two weeks as well. After the Dostoyevsky book, I've got Lolita, 1984, Kafka's Amerika, A Brave New World, and The Grapes of Wrath.
I read "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" a couple weeks, ago, very good book, all about a cop that has an evil side ;)

Poerty, I like it but I find it hard to understand sometimes if reading it alone.
Ya im with ya blue im not much of a reader. i just can't get into books like most people. kinda wish i could though
Can't get into books? Then you haven't found the right books. I don't mean to be cruel here, but I honestly think its a bit sad to not have read a book in years.

There are millions of books out there... anyone can find something they like.
