Try this: bring up your Steam Games menu. Right-click DoD:S and select 'Properties'. Go to the 'Local Files' tab and click 'Verify Game Cache...'. You should probably go ahead and defragment them while you're in there, too.

it didnt work
its only on steam that my fps is droping hardcore i deleted and reinstalled and updated all my drivers nothing and it still wont get up to where i was

Do you have any other graphic intensive games? If so, try them out and see if you have the same results.

After a quick search, it looks almost like this is an error message that is generated when there is an unbounded use of an array offset in the code. Which I would think would only be able to happen if the code was modified and recompiled, which I doubt is your case. Weird. Maybe try to contact Valve customer support about this or something.

See if this folder exists on your computer: "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\YOURACCOUNTNAME\day of defeat source\dod\models\props_fortifications\"

It may be in other folders other than "models", just look around for a "props_fortifications" folder. I'm thinking there may be a problem with a map/mod replacing the old sandbags model with a faulty one or something.

If there is a corrupt texture that it keeps trying to load that maybe the source of your problem. Try what Yoo-Hoo! has suggested and give us an update.
