From my understanding or just heard a rumor, the flash server will be shut down in september if we can not keep it full.
My sugestion is if another server is reaching a full status go and play in the flash server and have fun.
Rathter the rumor is true or not, I think we need to try to keep it as full as possible so we are taking another step forward and not a step backwards.
I think If everyone tried instead of waiting for an open slot in another server we could make it happen.

I'm temporarily banned from the flash server. I have no clue how long. I also think there's a thread on this already.
 
There is no rumor there.... the flash server shutting down if it's not popular is 150% true. It's a combination of two things. If you want to keep it, we need 2 things....

first, obviously work to keep it full. Second, we need financial support. Currently, five servers (I pay for flash alone for now, so its not included in the main bill) run us over $350 per month. Continued support of Flash after Sept. would increase that bill to over $400 per month.

i dont like flash tooo much, if it were anzio it would be a totally diff story.... so sorry but i wont be one to fill it up :)
 
I try to like flash... =\ It just doesnt click with me. I used to not like kalt, but since its now one of my favorite maps, I had hopes for flash, but no luck. Its just bleh. MOAR Anzio.
 
ah kamphy i know one day we're gonna have a chance to play on anzio again...

i can play flash when its 20 ppl or so... but yeah sure will try to keep it up

Just some simple math here...

If the total was brought to 400/mo with Flash:

400/6 : $66.6666666/mo server.
 
I hate math!

But those calculations are fairly accurate. Mind you, that's just an approximation, but game servers of our quality and size (32 slots) run anywhere from 60-75 dollars on average.

I'm a fan of anzio too, when kalt was rotation it was my favourite out of the lot. Though I did have a period where I loved kalt. Now it's strand that's taking most of my time cos being allies on strand is awesome.
 
Actually the cost of our servers can be precisely calculated using the following function:
