i just got my wii today:), and i was wondering if any1 else has one (some1 is bound to), and also: what games/apparel would you recommend to take a look at or stay away from.

the wii we bought had the wii sports, mario party 8, and an extra wiimote w/o nunchuk

I tried the wii at my cousins. Its GREAT. Defintley get more than 2 games because you may get bored. Make sure u also get the nunchuk because the boxing is just simply fun especially when playing with another person.
 
I have a Wii. I'll tell you, Wii Sports is worth it alone. It may not have any good games right at the moment, but they're coming.
 
i don't have the wii myself, but my sister and her boyfriend have it and i've played it on several occasions. i definitely recommend you to get Wii Play, which has several mini games similar to wii sports that are fun and enjoyable for everyone. It's a great game to have if you have multiple controllers (at least 2) and always have friends/family over. Anyone can play the game, my mom and dad even enjoy themselves!
 
i love my wii...get super smash bros. brawl when it hits stores december 3...get the new zelda game...and also pick up or rent wario ware smooth moves
 
It depends on what you like. if you're into more hardcore, lengthy games, Zelda and Mario are sure fire bets.

If you're looking more for party games, then Super Monkey Ball, Rayman, and Wii Play are all fairly good. And don't forget the virtual console.. lots of classic goodies available to download.

It's all good stuff really... just avoid the discount games. The bargain basement games on the Wii are actually WORSE than most on other systems, in that developers try to utilize the control scheme in already poor concepts... and the results are just tragic.
 
well, i like to play adventure games, although i've never played any of the zelda games. i'll see if i can get the new one(Twilight Princess, rite?), and Wii Play, but Wii Sports is occupying my mind when i'm not playin on avalanche.

The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (because i have it for gc and it is GREAT!!)

RedSteel because it is ownzor with the guns. the sword is funner though

The Wii would've been great if it was release 3 years ago instead of the GameCube... seeing as though the Wii is the GameCube but with motion sensors. I'd put money into a real 7th gen gaming console, rather the only one, the PS3.

yeah, Tiff sure loves "wii play" ... She's the ultimate Mystery Fish Catcher. i'm still waiting for:
Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Smash Bros. Brawl

ANYWAY, Wii sports is probably the best thing to play, it never gets old. Twighlight princess was also a lot of fun. Haven't played Resident Evil 4, but my roommate plays it and it looks pretty good too.

i own one my self and i play wii sports alot!
ZElda is A Agreat game and so is Paper mario = )

mario Striker is Great is you like soccer
And a few more on the way that will rock the world
 
The wii is simply awsome. i mean what consle lets you download alll the other old time classic's like balloon fight, mario bros. super mario bros, excite bike. i hope they come out with dodge ball that was my fav. on orignal nintendo.
 
I still cannot find one (for retail price) and I have yet to play one or even see someone playing one. Now with all of these rave reviews I feel quite deprived. !sad

Heh, you should have camped for one like I did on November 19th. I went to camp at one Wal-Mart that opened at 12AM but got there 2 spots too late. So I just went home, and beat Gears of War on co-op while I waited until 4AM to go camp at a 7AM opening at another Wal-Mart. That was a good day.
