Old Caen Map...

Hey everyonel, new to the forums. Started playing DoD recently after a long break and can't wait to get back in it again. I had a question. Does everyone remember the old Caen map? This was, hands down, my favorite map of all time. have they created a map like this yet? or ever plan to? just wondering if anyone had any info. thanks!

That was a great map. Great snipe spots. The game chatter I heard indicates that a conversion is being worked on.

Yeah I really enjoyed Caen as well. I liked that it was so open and large; it gave you the option of going out solo and working your way behind the enemy. I've heard a lot of people talk about Caen. If it gets remade, I anticipate it having a rather large following.

The remakes I have played deviate from the original caen design and do not do it justice.

I was talking about caen with some guy the other day, think I even talked to spetznaz about it. And I've been saying since I started playing DOD:S that the brits should be in it. Nostalgia for one, but the main reason for me is the Enfield. Hands down best rifle in DOD ever.
