Cell phones

masterofpuppets

Obey your master
I'm 1 month away from buying a new phone when my current contract is up. I'm sick of my Moto Razr V3. The only thing I like about it is the size - it slips easily into the little right side pocket on jeans which is awesome for me when I'm riding. I'm a txt msg addict but I don;t really want a sidekick jammed in my pocket when I'm riding(I never use my phone when I'm riding, but I always have to have it on me for business). I mean it ain't a bad phone, it gets the job done, it's just sooooo over-rated. I like my old V220 better tbh.

My question is what kind of phone do you have and what has your experience with it been like? The only thing I know right now is that I'm sticking with Cingular/AT&T/whatever they're called this week because they have the best service in central Texas.

White Choc baby and i love it, the only thing is getting used to the smaller buttons, but since youre not getting verizon you cant get it....

The thing I really don't like about chocolate phones (My mom has a mint one), is that the buttons will push when you don't want to. Since the arrow buttons and menu buttons aren't actually "buttons", they are like iPod buttons so that you just kinda tap the wrong thing with your cheek while you're on the phone, and OOPS it just hung up. That's my only complaint about them.

I'll tell you something. Motorola phones are going down the drain. I have a Verizon LG XV9400. It is most commonly called the TV phone. The screen is very impressive. Sound quality is awesome and is all around a great phone. There is no stub either.

I hate the Cingular service, but the phones you should look for now should be LG or Samsung. That is all.

I ordered the Moto Rizr Z3 before it came to the states. Tons of people were selling them in the UK. Only down side is that I have cricket as a game instead of tetris or baseball ... sound quality is great and so is the battery life and it's tiny. It also has a 2 mega pixel camera.. if you're into that sort of thing and the flash can be used as a flashlight. Cingular doesn't sell it, but you can still find it online and it works flawlessly with their GSM network.

If you like to text a lot, consider buying an M600i. That's what I have right now and I'm quite happy with it. The downside is that it doesn't have a camera on it but I never use the camera anyways (since cell phone cameras do generally suck - even the 2 megapixels ones...). The touchscreen is awesome and it performs great. Also, since it's a smartphone there are lots of applications for it online.

That said, I used to have a razr and since then I have vowed to never buy another motorola. I don't like their menus, I don't like the way they perform and the voice quality on the razr was pretty bad...

i'll tell you what. my dad just got the new verizon version of the razr. i hate the old razr's, but this one is amazing. you don't have that flimsy feeling you have when you hold a razr, its just all around better. not to mention the amazing gps system and the 2.0 megapixel camera with autofocus

That's actually one of the ones I am looking at. Although, for me not having a camera could be an issue. I use my camera to take pics of custom made boxes I've made at work in the event the contents are damaged and I have to make an insurance claim to FedEx/UPS.

I've got the Blackberry 8300 (curve) w/ AT&T and it's great w/ the email, internet, txtin, and overall service. There's tons of software on the internet for it....i recently ran a whole 20 minute power point presentation off of it for work...juss connected it to a lap-top...JUST DON'T GET THE BLACKJACK!! the Palm Treo 680 is sweet two....but since u didn't like the sidekick cause of it's size...u may not like these PDAs...
