The program in the UK seems better than here in the US. I like the idea of one year working out in the industry to gain real life experience. What if you don't pass 1 class? Can you still go out and work? Or would you have to wait until your 4th year to start work?

CSM in JROTC huh? Does that mean you are still in high school? I have some buddies from high school who were in JROTC and joined the army after graduating.

My sister and her boyfriend are computer science majors. My sister is working with Java right now.

I hear that Java is similar to C++ which is what I am almost done learning. Not many girls are interested in CS. It's a pitty, stuck in a class room with 20+ other guys and maybe 1 to 3 girls, if any.

Im a Computer Science major. Already had a C++ class and a little bit of Java. They are pretty close to one another. I'm taking a Java class right now. Programming classes are so easy after you've had one since all you really need to know is the syntax of the language. 8)
Visual Basic really sucks though..

I've taken about 7 CS classes so far, some were easy while some were hard. The last class I took for CS seemed a little tough for me. It was about the run times of sorting algorithms and implementing them into programs. Still got my A- though =) I haven't tried or been taught VB however. I think the next language I learn is python. Not sure though.

Does your high school have drum core? I think they are pretty awesome.

Nope. We don't have enough students attending to have one, but it would be rather grand to have one. Have you seen the Marine's Drum and Bugle Corps? They are AMAZING
like holy wow.

Masters in CS here... !lol

I'm no programmer by no means but I did dabbled in Java in grad school...compared to C++ , Java is purely Object Oriented. Java was designed from the get go this way. Whereas C++ derived from C (which was designed initially as a procedural language).

I haven't had a chance to mess with C# which is supposed to be .net equivalent to Java.
