IM BANNED FROM STEAM

My bro is really good at css and he was playing on one server and the guy thought he was cheating so the guy said that he was a steam admin and was goning to bann him from steam so now my account is banned that sucks cause now i have to rebuy dods and hl2 garys mod =(

damn man that sucks. did your bro get the persons name? im not sure they are allowed to do that. or they could contest the ban on some css website or steam.

That doesn't even make sense... I know that Valve Developer Team Members COULD do that.... but that's weird. Let me know what error message you get... if you even get one.

i guess ill rebuy the game it said i was banned for a cheating infraction! and i never have cheated in my life i dont even know how lol this is a bounch of bull crap!!

damn thats screwed up. go to steams or css's website and write a complaint tell them to unban you b/c youve never cheated and wait.

That means you were VAC banned. Which means that the Valve Anti Cheat system detected an activated cheat while your brother (or you, or whoever on your account) was playing.

Those bans are not issued lightly, and are almost NEVER wrong. In fact, VAC is typically a crappy system because its so easy to slip past it. If the account is VAC banned, there is little to no doubt he was cheating, regardless of what he says. VAC is automated... it detected something. It would have had nothing to do with his score, or anyone spectating him.

You will have no re-course in this matter. Buy the games again, and delete (or tell your brother to delete) the crap from the machine.

Cheating or not, you can spend a year trying to get your account unbanned, requesting, posting, repeating, and still get no progress.

Even though it might be annoying to buy, but getting two steam ID's might be a safer route for you in the future, regardless if your brother was cheating or not.

Quoted for truth. A valve employee isn't just going to be like "zomg this guy is good he must be hacking BAN". They don't do that, you've been banned by the (crappy) anti-cheat system. Whether you personally know it or not, there was almost certainly cheating involved. Yell at your brother and have him delete the hacks he found or delete them yourself if you know where they are or if it was you who downloaded them.

Bad luck, but from now on you should either A: Not cheat. or B: Not let your brother play if he's going to cheat.

Hope you're not short on cash.

WOW, that totally sucks man, if it was really him, I take it your parents would want him to pay for it, or you would want him to :p well, see ya when ya get back on DoD

dude thats y im an only child and dude thats just stupid , VAC should notice that their anti cheating system is crap and they should most likely get a better one but if ur bro was cheating get a permanant marker and write all over his face then cut holes in all of his pants (especiially in the private area!) then u'll get in aliittle trouble but it will be better then paying for the gameS all over again... and again srry......... that just SUX
