Okay, so I was gone for two weeks...wtheck happened???

Kustom Kettle 2 running aura, stug warehouse, etc. is gone. It's replaced by a cartoony orange map 24/7.

There's another kustom server running maps I've never heard of. There is nothing in the news since I've been gone that discusses this change.

What's going on? Am I never going to be able to play aura and stug...my fav maps of all time in DOD:S?

Where do I download the maps for that new kustom server? It's the last one on the main page; it's hard to name them because they aren't titled on the front page.

Oh, and are those orange maps really popular? If I wanted a faster paced, twitchier experience I'd go play Quake3, Medal of Honor, or Enemy Territory.

ive been here the whole time and i have no clue whats going on. theres so much happening that its hard to keep up.

KK is getting a new rotation and the second custom server is for Orange Maps.

So where do I get the new maps like Strasburg and stuff? Maybe I'll just go back to my original server, Kalt, where I used to play early on.

I mean, has there been any system of notification as to what is happening where?

KK #2 is running Orange maps!

KK is still running Kustom Maps. It's original purpose is to keep up with all the new and best kustom maps out there so of course, they will be updated from time to time. We want to keep up with demand and new and really good maps are coming out all the time.

The maps being added for the 1st time are:
dod_smallhilll
dod_santos_b1
dod_diversion_b2
dod_strasbourg_b3
dod_lennon
dod_bayeux_rc1
dod_tiger
dod_convoy

The classics being added back are:
dod_foy_rc1
dod_hobofire

And, the current CAMP 2 maps will also remain on the server.

ALL the CAMP2 maps are still on the server! so you can play them still. Also voting has been enabled. Furthermore, a map pack doesn't seem to be out yet, but just autodownload it from the server for now. Hope to see you in there!

Rofl, I still find it hard to believe so many people have never heard of these "new" custom maps. 99% of any server you go on that plays more than the few standard maps has these, and has had them for many many months, not to mention that 90% of them are classic DoD1.3 Remakes.

Last I heard the CAMP 2 maps were STILL on the server which THANKFULLY now has even more custom maps, the other KK server with the orange maps from what I've seen is extremely popular, It fills up very very quickly and most people stick around for a long time.

There are a lot of places to get custom maps. If eGO doesn't have a pack set up and you don't want it download it from the server, I was given a link to a website a couple years ago which has a TON of custom maps: http://907th.com/

Fortunately, when Source came out, it also brought with it many new players. So most people do not know and/or are unfamiliar with DoD 1.3 and it's custom maps.

With that said, I think it's awesome that so many people are trying them out and coming to KK. The maps are on autodownload from the server and it's fairly quick so no worries. just come on in and have fun playing!

by the way, it's not really that hard to believe that people haven't heard of these maps before. There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of custom maps out there with new custom maps coming out regularly. there's bound to be maps you've never played and/or heard of. :?
