Lol, nice. There's a guy here in Austin named "The King". He's a street bass player and one of the best players I've ever heard. He's always out by Friends on 6th Street downtown. I had a gig at a venue not to far from him and I went and watch him play rather than the crappy opening bands.

There was a street musician I saw a couple of years ago that was the best, absolute best, lead guitar player I have EVER seen.

Black guy, dreads, about 22-25 years old, playing a beautiful vintage Les Paul through what looked like a 60W Mesa Boogie amp.

If Jimi Hendrix reincarnated, his soul is in this guy and has playing has gotten even better.

I only saw the guy playing for only one week at lunch time, then never heard of him again.

what about bongo players?

They don't even make the list, same with harmonica, harp players and banjo. Safe to say that the nearest planet....say Mars, is a good distance. If everything works right, the air should run out of their lungs before the chorus.

I play upright bass as well as bass guitar. I've performed on the street before with a friend of mine (He played trumpet.) We got quite the crowd, actually.

Silly SaO... Bongo players can't play in the public!
According to Matthew McConaughey you have to be several sheets to the wind and NUDE to play Bongos. :p
