A company has announced a new development in storage technology. Basically it is a flash based storage device that fits in a pci-e slot.

They will feature 640GB of storage and have amazing performance that is 1000 times greater than current hard drisk technology.

This is goign to have great implications in the future, especially in therms of servers and databases and all sorts of other things. like it could Read and write the entire contents of a full length DVD in 4-5 seconds.

Imagine it loading dod maps lol.

Oh and its gonna cost $30 a gigabyte which is pretty darn reasonable as a launch price considering!

well unless u have that $20,000 lying arround i would wait lol (640GB x $30 per GB = 19,200) lol

lol this isnt for the comsumer market yet guys, did u not head him say it was aimed at the server market?

For the server market this would be a great choice and replace huge raid arrays that companies have had to use before this
