Thread Thumper
lets say money wasnt a issue here. And you wanted a new computer what would your,e dream computer contain ?

Lets see.... Dual 2900 XTs.... The Intel Quad Extremes..... Umm.... Cinema Surround Sound...... 50 inch monitor. xD

The best and fastest of absolutely every computer component, plus crazy speakers and a wall sized monitor. That would be an epic computer! (It also makes me sad that Morbid already knows exactly what he wants, and has everything planned out. :(( )

Dual Nvidia 8800GTX 768
Intel Quad Extreme (until AMD gets theres out that is)
8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
Dual 24" LCD monitors
Dual DVD/CD +/- RW Drives
3 250GB 16mb cache SATA300 drives in a RAID 1 config

only if i guess

So if money is o option am I the only one who started thinking about petabyte raid 4 hot swap arrays - oc-48 straigh into my own personal ip6 compliant lan, and other such various goodness? I mean, if your going all out why stop at 3 250's in raid 1? if the sky is the limit, buy ALL of the newegg stock. Period.

A self upgrading super computer that I can implant into my head.

Removing my brain but still keeping my personality, memories, and other things about me. The only difference is that I'll be smart enough to do anything. Using physics instead of muscle to lift or move the most heavy of objects.

I'de LOVE to see thore try to lift somehting right now without using physics :p

I already have my dream computer under my desk.

Videocard: XFX Geforce 8800 GTX 768mb
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Mainboard: Asus P5N32-E SLI
Memory: 4GB OCZ DDR2 6400 ram
Soundcard: True sound Onboard Audio
PSU: Tagan 800 watt SLI

I don't care what was in it, as long as it was ATI [I had one nVidia, only one, and it was horrible. I guess one bad experience is enough to make you dislike a company.] and it could run everything at least 80 fps. My computer can run most things at a good 40, but I hate it when I go to a friend and see his computer run the same game at a higher FPS and it looks so much smoother. Normally I wouldn't even notice the difference, in the past, I was happy at 24 fps.
