CSS and gmod

im sure you could make a mod for gmod and make it to where you can buy couterstrike guns and use the tool gun as well. Might be something worth looking into.
 
All Valve made games use the same map file base....BSP.

As long as you don't have any models that are particular to one game (css, dods, blah blah blah), and the spawnpoints are added for each game (info_player_terrorist, info_player_axis, info_player_combine or whatever...) then it will work.

If you have say...a css model, like a vending machine from Cs_office, it will either crash DODS, or just produce an ERROR model....I can't remember which, but yeah....I think you get the point.
 
To make actual maps, you use Hammer.. It's in Source SDK which comes with css, dod, gm and so on... Its like a stripped down 3d program.. It's very easy to use and quite fun... making working maps for css or dod is something i've not tried as such, but it should be pretty doable..
