Save it as a .png instead of a .jpg...

That should do it, but remember it's gotta be transparent in the first place.

Yup, what Thor said, use the magic erase tool to get rid of the white part, then save it as a PNG, if you cant get it, ill do it

Save it as a .gif instead of a .png. PNG's don't have total transparency support in all browsers.
